Abstract :
This study traces the cultural mobility of the black bourgeoisie, from its desire to whiten its race to the process of negrification to recover its identity. With postcolonial theory in the background, the article shows the deconstruction of colonial discourse and the preference for emancipatory epistemologies among the privileged classes. Second, lactification has shown its limits through the intra-community and interracial discontent it has aroused. Finally, in view of the failures of this identity policy, the assimilated bourgeoisie advocates a return to its roots in order to achieve cultural authenticity.
